19)  The Concept of Doubling

The Concept of Doubling is extremely useful.  It turns your goals into fun and do-able successes. The diagram above shows you what can happen if you double a penny for 30 days.  At the end of the thirty days, you would have $5Million.

If you are new to network marketing, incorporate the concept of doubling into your business model.  Start with a goal of enrolling 5 new members. Don’t worry, there are many, many successful people that when starting off, that was a scary endeavor.  But take fear out of your playing field and shoot for 5. Be confident.  This is when you need to be confident.  Some people want to wait until they make it, before they feel confident, but when you make it, you won’t need it as much.  So you be different.  Be confident and aim for 5 and do not let anything stop you from getting those 5 new enrollees. 

When you have an organization of 5 members, be very proud of yourself. Say, "Wow, I've got 5 members!" Stay positive. Don’t start downplaying it.  Don’t start saying such things as, “oh, but it took me so long…my friend did it in half the time.  Oh, I don’t know how it happened, it was just luck and I don’t know if I can do it again.’
After your organization has 5 members, commit to doubling that.  Shoot for 10 people in your organization.  If you have to reboot your confidence or ask for a pep talk, do so.  We all want you to succeed.  Do whatever it takes to get 10 people in your organization.  And always tell yourself:  I enrolled 5 people before, and if I did it before, I can do it again.
After that, you know what you have to do. Get 20. Then 40. Then 80. Surprisingly, what happens is that as the number of people we have to enroll gets bigger, our confidence tends to diminish.  But let me tell you.  As the number your shooting for gets bigger, doubling gets easier.  That is because initially you probably had to do all the enrolling yourself.  But as the numbers increase you have a greater number of members also enrolling and helping you double your number of members.  For example when you get to 100 members in your organization, you have yourself and 99 other people enrolling new members and they are all part of your organization so you get there faster.
By the way, your goal can also be to double your monthly sales volume.  Start off with a goal of having a $500 monthly sales or organizational volume.  When you reach that, go to $1000…then $2000..$4000…
