 There are 5 basic steps to lovely skin.  These are endorsed by the Dermatology and Cosmetology Board.

 pH Factor

The pH level of your skin refers to the natural acid mantle, which protects the skin from bacteria build-up and environmental hazards.  The skin, in its natural state, is about 5.5 on the pH scale.  When water or heavy alkalized soaps are used to cleanse the skin, this natural acid mantle becomes unbalanced.  When the natural acid mantle is out of balance, several things can occur:  1) Excessive oil content on the skin,  2) Dry Patches,  3) Skin prone to bacterial infection.  

NOTE:  All of the Tidal Wave skin care products are pH balanced.  This means that they will help to re-establish the correct pH level and strengthen the natural pH protective mantle of the skin.

 Aloe Vera Barbadensis

 Most skin care products, including high end products, have water as their first and main ingredient.  (Water does not penetrate the skin;  our skin is water repellent.)    

Our skin care line contains as its main ingredient stabilized Aloe Vera Barbadensis, which has more active elements and moisturizing agents than any other aloe, it is the most sought after gel, and also the most expensive.  (Remember:  Both dry and oily skin suffer from lack of moisture.)  Our Aloe Vera Barbadensis is stabilized and proven to penetrate the skin to the subcutaneous (deepest) layer of the skin.  This layer gives smoothness and contour to the body.   Note:  Aloe Vera Barbadensis has its own sunscreen.

 Silk Amino Acids & Liquid Silk

Silk is just now coming to the forefront in the skin care industry.  It is a major active component in our skin care line.  Silk is a natural protein.  The silk in our skin care line is taken from the center of the silkworm yarn, and not from the pulverized cocoon. Silk has 18 amino acids—6 directly for the skin and 12 directly nutritive.  (The silk worm comes from the cocoon; the yarn is what is exuded from the mouth of the silk worm.  When the silk is exuded it is spun by the silk worm into a very fine strand (or yarn) and then liquefied by adding a solution to it.  All silk comes from the worm itself, not the cocoon.  The cocoon is useless after the worm sheds it.  During World War II, the Japanese boiled the cocoon and ate the liquid from the cocoon boiled as a soup.  They were healthy while others who did not have anything to eat were sickly.)

 Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural protein that promotes smoothness and elasticity in the skin.  It is referred to as an anti-aging miracle, the “fountain of youth.” It is able to hold 1000 times its weight in moisture, keeping the skin and other tissues hydrated.
